About us

Hi, I’m Lynn, and I was born and raised in the vibrant Canton region of southern China, a place renowned for its culinary richness. Cantonese cuisine is known for its balance, freshness, and the skillful layering of flavors. It's a celebration of high-quality ingredients, minimal seasoning, and delicate techniques that let the natural flavors of food shine. Growing up, I was surrounded by these time-honored cooking traditions, where each meal was an opportunity to gather with loved ones, creating beautiful moments around the table.

​Even though I earned an MBA and spent many years in the high-tech corporate world, I always found myself drawn back to the kitchen. I pursued my culinary passion by attending pastry school and working in restaurants and bakeries, learning the intricacies of cooking from all angles. What started as a love for creating beautiful pastries evolved into a deep appreciation for preparing full meals that bring people together.

Cooking for friends and family is one of the greatest joys of my life. Whether I’m preparing an intricate Cantonese feast, experimenting with new fusion dishes, or baking fresh pastries, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing the smiles on my loved ones’ faces. For me, food isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about connection, culture, and community.

Drawing from these experiences, I’ve created my own recipes that add a unique twist to classic dishes, enhancing their flavors while staying true to their roots. Each recipe I share is designed with easy and clear instructions so you can confidently recreate the same delicious meals at home. Every dish has been tested many times to ensure it's as foolproof as it is flavorful.

​My family, the Elias family, reflects a beautiful blend of cultures, including Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Syrian heritage. Our recipes have been lovingly passed down through generations, filling our kitchen with stories of the past while inspiring new culinary creations. Our kitchen has become a vibrant hub where traditional dishes are honored, and new flavors are explored, always with the intention of sharing these experiences with those we care about.

In addition to our love for cooking, my family and I are passionate about traveling and exploring different cultures and cuisines. We believe that experiencing new places, people, and food opens up a world of inspiration, which influences the way we cook. From the bustling street markets of Asia to the cozy trattorias of Italy, every journey brings a fresh perspective to our kitchen. It’s this blend of global flavors and cherished family recipes that makes our meals truly special.
